Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and the browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Caching

This site utilises caching to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site.

All cache files are temporary and are never accessed by any third party except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration if necessary.

We may use QUIC.cloud services to process & cache your data temporarily.

Where your data is sent

We collect information about visitors who comment using the Akismet Anti-spam service. The information typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter, such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
