Heists and backstabbing. The second episode of The Penguin forced Oswald “Oz” Cobb to think on his feet as he played all sides in an attempt to stay alive. He began the episode trying to placate Salvatore Maroni for implicating him in Alberto Falcone’s death. As a peace offering, he offered him the drops business that Luca Falcone was taking from him. But that only led to more problems after Sofia Falcone paid a dirty cop to find out who the inside man was. Driven into a corner, Oz had to walk into the Falcone mansion and kill the Maroni man before he spilt the beans to Sofia.
But that only made things worse as Luca put the house under lockdown. Oz found a way to blame someone else and in the process, Sofia discovered how powerless she is within the family. Asked to leave for Italy—code for ”get the heck out”—Sofia reluctantly partnered with Oz to take over. How long will this last?
