Spoilers ahead for episode 4 of House of the Dragon season 2.
After four episodes of conspiracies, botched assassinations, and failed negotiations, an all-out war has broken out between the Greens and the Blacks. And we learnt why everyone was trying hard to avoid it. In the fourth episode of the second season of House of the Dragon, three dragons—Rhaenys’, Aemond’s, and the King’s—went at each other. What unfurled was chaos, death, and destruction. Rhaenys is dead for sure. Vhagar (that is Aemond’s dragon) stomped on friendly soldiers. And a drunken King Aegon II likely fell to his death. Aemond might have delivered the killing bow. If the King is indeed no more, thorny questions about succession will open up. After all, the King’s infant heir died before him.
Daemon might be interested in these developments, too. He’s been squatting in Harrenhal pretending to be the King Consort and hoping to raise an army in Rhaenyra’s name that he might be able to use for his own means. But right now, Daemon has to deal with the haunted nature of the place and those that inhabit it. His death has been foretold and he’s seeing his wife in waking visions. Is he doomed? Or can he find a way to battle his demons (pun very much intended) and swat aside Alys Rivers’ prophecy?

For those in the Mountain time zone—in the likes of Denver, Calgary, and Salt Lake City—the fifth episode will drop at 7 pm MT.
For the Central time zone—for the likes of Dallas and Kansas City—the episode 5 release time is 8 pm CT.
And over on the East Coast—in places such as New York, Toronto, and Washington DC—House of the Dragon season 2 episode 5 will premiere at 9 pm ET on July 14.
