The Olympics is back! Three years after the closed-doors COVID-affected Tokyo Olympics, the biggest sporting event on the planet arrives in Paris for the third time in its history. More than 10,700 athletes from over 200 nations are competing across 32 sports, from tennis to football, archery to badminton, boxing to fencing, golf to judo, and skateboarding to weightlifting. Breakdancing is making its debut at the Paris Olympics, in what is the mega event’s only new sport. The whole thing is going to run for over two weeks. What are the dates for the 2024 Olympics? The Paris Olympics began on Wednesday, July 24 and will conclude on Sunday, August 11 with the closing ceremony.

Okay, but when is the Paris Olympics opening ceremony? That’s on Friday, July 26 and it promises to be unlike anything you’ve seen at the Olympics. While the opening ceremony is traditionally held in a stadium, the 2024 Olympics is shifting it to a river—the Seine. Yep, you read that right. The parade of nations, in which the participating athletes march as part of their national delegation, will be held as a boat parade. It will stretch across a six-kilometre route from the Pont d’Austerlitz (near the Jardin des Plantes) to the Pont d’Iéna (near the Eiffel Tower), moving west across the Seine. Spectators can line up across the river to witness the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony.

But what if you’re not in Paris? And how can you tune into all the various sporting events? Here’s how to watch all the Olympics 2024 action from Paris live around the world.
