For the second time in two years, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will contest the Wimbledon men’s singles final. That’s great news for tennis fans. Last year, the two gave us one of the best Wimbledon finals of all time. Can this one live up to those standards? Novak’s knee seemed to be an issue coming into the Grand Slam but he hasn’t shown any signs that it’s been bothering him. Alcaraz has been terrific as ever. Will the Spaniard be able to defend his crown? Or will the Serb go level with Roger Federer on Sunday with eight Wimbledon titles?
Over in the women’s singles final, Jasmine Paolini has continued her purple patch into the grass court season. After her run to the French Open final, the Italian is now in the Wimbledon final. What a month and a half for Paolini! Across the net it’s Barbora Krejčíková—a former French Open winner and a multiple Grand Slam doubles champion. Can the Italian find her way to a first major title or will the experience of the Czech prevail?
